"I
again want to express my thanks
for the encouragement that you
and the SL Ringers provided
Chelsea and Andrew and your
patience in working with them.
At times it has been difficult
for me to find ways keep them
interested in bell ringing.
Thanks to you and the SL
Ringers, Andrew is looking
forward to ringing in college.
The first think he said to me
upon learning he was accepted to
transfer to Lebanon Valley
College in January was would I
contact the
Bellchoir director and
when was I going to do it.
Chelsea now wants to join
AGEHR and
asked when we were going to
start working on her next solo.
As for me, after seeing how
much fun you guys have, I am
looking around for a bell choir
with which to ring. I have not
rung in several years because
ringing in a choir with people
who were not
committed, could not
count and had to have their
notes circled made me crazy!
I asked the two of them what they thought of the overall experience of the last month. Andrew said, "fun." (He is a man of few words.) Chelsea said, it was the most amazing and awesome experience and 11/30 was the most amazing day. I must admit it was pretty fun, amazing and awesome to see two young adults with whom I have worked for over 8 years on stage at Carnegie Hall!
I know that without the support of the SL Ringers the experience would not have been fun, amazing or awesome for Chelsea, Andrew or me. As I think about some of the costs of getting them to Carnegie Hall I am reminded of the credit card commercial:
Cost of various New Mallets to get the "right sound": $90.00
Parking in NY on 11/30: $85.00
Meals from various road trips: $150.00
WORKING WITH JANE NOLAN & THE SHORELINE RINGERS: PRICELESS!!
Chelsea, Andrew and I would welcome any opportunity to work with you guys again. You are all terrific." -

Thanks
for the memories.... Our spring concerts
proved memorable. We had beautiful venues, a true test of
our fortitude with the heat and humidity at one concert,
wonderfully responsive audiences and the debut of a brand
new arrangement by John Leonard of the Michael Jackson hit
"Thriller"
We promise something for everyone at
our concerts, and we delivered. We had the classics, a Shaker
tune, Leroy Anderson, interesting original works utilizing
various techniques and "Thriller"!!
For the second year in a row, we
played for a wedding. Last year we played for the wedding of one
of our ringers, Rebecca Swiontek, and this year it was for the
wedding of a former handbell ringer in the Concert Handbell
Choir at my church. It is rewarding for us, as ringers, to hear
the grand sound made with bells and organ for wedding
processionals and recessionals.
